    Fiona Pelham, CEO, Positive Impact Events

    Fiona Pelham is the CEO of global not for profit Positive Impact Events, which provides engagement, education and collaboration opportunities to create a sustainable event industry.

    She was the chair of ISO 20121, an international standard for sustainable event management, and was the youngest-ever female chair for any ISO standard. Alongside this, she has been involved in a number of working groups including Meeting Professionals International's UK & Ireland Chapter, from 2009 to 2012.

    Fiona has also been awarded an honorary doctorate by Leeds Beckett University for her services to the event industry for raising the profile of sustainability.

    Lucy Amis, Child Rights and Sport Specialist, Unicef UK

    Lucy Amis has over eight years experience working on human rights and sport, over twenty years’ experience in the field of business and human rights, and was one of the original architects and advisor to the Centre for Sport and Human Rights.

    Lucy has been the Child Rights and Sport Specialist for Unicef UK since 2016 where she given human rights expert advice to the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Olympics and provided technical expertise on human and child rights implementation to the Organizing Committees for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games and Bahamas 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games.

    She is a Research Fellow (Mega Sporting Events) with the Institute for Human Rights and Business (IHRB) and holds a Masters degree from the London School of Economics.

  • Dr Rob Davidson

    Dr Rob Davidson is the Managing Director of MICE Knowledge, a consultancy specialising in research, education and training services for the meetings and events industry.

    His main areas of expertise are conferences and incentive travel, and he has written seven books on these themes, including his latest publication, Business Events.

    He has carried out research projects for a number of major organisations including the Poland Convention Bureau, the Ireland National Tourism Development Authority, and the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence and is regularly invited to speak at international conferences on themes linked to business events, in particular to present the results of his ongoing research into conference industry trends.

    Jordi Estruga

    Jordi Estruga is chemical engineer, certified in executive and team coaching and lecturer in operations and services. He started his career in 2000 at Procter and Gamble and then, 13 years ago, moved to the Fira Barcelona. In his current role as Guest Events Operations Director, he is responsible of the production of all external exhibitions, congresses and corporate events. He is the proud winner of the UFI Operations Award in 2010 and 2012, and the UFI Sustainable Development Award in 2017.

    Ian Leat

    Ian joined Marriott Hotels International in 2009 as Head of UK Agency Sales, before transitioning into Global Sales where he currently oversees the organization for Western Europe. Having originally qualified as a barrister, he has over 20 years’ experience in the Hotel and Meetings industry both in the UK and internationally - holding various Sales and Marketing leadership roles.

    With over 20 years in the MICE Industry, Hilary has been Global Account Director with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts since 2015, having transitioned over from Dolce Hotels & Resorts when Wyndham acquired the group that year. A highly effective global sales leader with proven expertise in the MICE market, Hilary now manages a team and a portfolio of over 9,000 properties in 90 countries across 20 different brands.

    James is a member of the International Stress Management Association and the Federation of Drug and Alcohol practitioners. He runs his own wellbeing and coaching consultancy – I Am James…..Wellbeing & Recovery and he has been an #eventprof for the best part of 20 years and is the General Manager of the Event Marketing Association.

    James works with individuals and organisations on stress prevention and improving their wellbeing, he supports those who want to recover from addiction & eating disorders and he speaks in public sharing his own story to inspire others.

    Founder of creative-industry coaching company, No More Ifs Or Buts and workplace wellbeing company, Stress Matters, Laura Capell-Abra has worked in the marketing events industry for 17 years, having run businesses for the last 7 years.

    Using a mixture of personal stories, extracts from client experiences and industry insights, Laura inspires her audiences to build their emotional intelligence and their self-awareness using her own experience of burn out as a relatable lesson for others to learn from.

    Helen Moon

    Helen Moon is a CIM qualified Marketing & Communications Manager with an eclectic mix of experience in the events industry that spans 20 years and includes event production, venue operations, proactive sales and digital marketing.

    Helen understands first-hand the busy role of an event professional and the impact this can have on our mental health, founding EventWell Ltd, and Event Wellbeing Week in 2017.

    As a mental health influencer she has spoken regularly at IBTM World on the subject of self-care and the importance of building resilience as event professionals.

    Gary Bradt

    Gary Bradt is a clinical psychologist, business owner, author and keynote speaker. He specialises in teaching companies practical skills to help them change faster and better using positive psychology.

    Gary got his start as a leadership speaker on change when Dr. Spencer Johnson chose him to be the leading speaker worldwide for Johnson's phenomenal best seller 'Who Moved My Cheese?'.

    Four years and over one hundred presentations later, Gary realised the fundamental question was not whether to change, but how. For the two decades since, he has dedicated his career to helping people answer that question.

    Founder and CEO of EVENTagist and mastermind of the portal, Stefania organizes meetings using the most innovative strategies and solutions to help get the most out of any event. Her expertise ranges from meeting design, hybrid and virtual events, marketing and social media to all the innovations and tech-tools that can facilitate the life of a meeting professional and effectively engage participants.

    Mariska Kesteloo

    With more than 18 years working experience in tourism and the MICE sector, Mariska is an entrepreneur, public speaker and Past-President of MPI and an authority in the industry. Mariska founded her company, Word of MICE, in 2017 to connect the MICE industry with the right influencer, to tell and spread the story of the suppliers in an authentic, creative and professional way.

  • John Martinez, CEO & Founder, Shocklogic

    John has over 30 years experience in the events industry as a PCO and technology specialist. He spent the first 14 years of his career as a PCO, before founding Shocklogic in 1997, where he now leads an international team to deliver event management technology and services. As well as being an ICCA member for 26 years, he has also been on the ICCA board of directors and a technology faculty member for the IAPCO seminars for 10 years. He has previously been named as one of the "Top 100 Movers & Shakers in Events" by Eventbrite. In 2020, he was also listed as one of the “Top 50 Virtual Meetings & Events Innovators” by Eventex.
